Both boys are available for natural breeding and using chilled semen. A non-refundable deposit is due with the stud service agreement prior to
breeding. In the event there are no puppies, the deposit will be applied to a repeat breeding.
The remaining balance is due when the AKC litter registration is sent for
my signature (no later than when the puppies are 2 of age to
allow time for processing by the AKC).
I require copies of the following from the bitch owner prior to
breeding:
- AKC registration
- Pedigree
- Hip clearance (OFA or PennHip)
- Elbow clearance (if available)
- Eye clearance dated within one year of mating (CERF)
- negative Brucellosis test (for natural breeding)
Two or three ties will be attempted for natural breeding. Boarding
and/or airport transportation fees may apply. (Both Denver International
or Colorado Springs airports are available. It is approximately one hour
to DIA and 80 minutes to CSA.) There are no boarding charges for bitches
whose owners transport them to the stud as needed.
When using chilled semen, the owner of the female is responsible for all veterinary semen collection and shipping
costs. I recommend having your veterinarian perform progesterone testing to
determine the optimum time for breeding. Although it is a good idea for
natural breeding, it's vital when using chilled semen! For best results
you may want to seek out a veterinarian who is board-certified in canine
reproduction.
