Gunner and Remi are doing great! We take at least one if not two walks each day around our cul-de-sac....
They are doing good on the leashes. They have learned to sit and almost to stay - depending on what other fun things are around to do. We are still working on the potty training. Great when they are outside but sometimes forget when they come in.
Just wanted to give you an update and thank you for bringing such joy to our home.

Jackson’s doing very well! He dug a nest in my mom’s flower planter yesterday and took a nap!! Potty training’s going well- I give him two more weeks before he’s got it tackled (for the most part!)! He readily goes in his kennel now (I got a bigger one) and hasn’t woken up in the middle of the night for at least a week now. Pups are doing great! They have brought such joy to our house! We have been home all weekend - left them alone last night for an hour or so to go to dinner. They did great. Thought you might enjoy some pics - I will send more. Take care.

Tar is doing great, he has finished force fetching and is still working with upland birds. We hunted doves, pheasants and ducks, wished we could have done more ducks. "Tar" (Drake x Arwen) |

She's become the MOST awesome dog you could ever imagine....100% retriever, 100% athlete, and definitely 100% smart!! We're getting ready to start our Spring tracking class, then will do Rally and are still holding out hope for a Flyball class by mid summer. If I could find a 'Dock Dog' group I'd be in that in a heartbeat. Water is her passion and she would literally swim until she drowns if we'd let her!! Her drive and ability to focus supercede and eliminate ANY and all distractions! If
she's retrieving....in water or on land....she is totally in the moment! She's also fun to teach because she's so dang smart, and really wants to please. We started skijoring this winter, and again.....if it is something to do outdoors, Izzy is gonna love it!! Couple all that with the sweetest, zaniest personality you could ask for and Isabella has rapidly become a VIP in the family.

Kona is doing great, and as you can see, she has a best friend in our son, Johnny! We are all looking forward to more Spring weather to spend more time outdoors...although snowshoeing is one of Kona's favorite activities in the world! "Kona" (Chip x Angel) |

She is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She loves to hunt...period! Doves, quail, ducks, geese, she does it all and is such a joy to hunt with. We do a lot of hunting out of the blind in the late season and when I tell her to go to her "spot" she actually hides behind something. You should see her get behind cane or other brush and poke her head out, too funny! ... I just want to thank you again for an awesome dog. "Echo" (Lazer x Raven) |

Isabella continues to bring joy to our lives.....adored by our kids, grandkids, and friends. Whether we're camping, hiking, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, sledding.....whatever......Izzy is the joie de vie in each and every day. Her huge "alpha" personality is a day to day challenge, but that is always tempered by her sweet, sweet disposition. She is growing into a wonderful companion and we thank you! This past weekend, he took her pheasant hunting for the first time ever. She was by all reports amazing!!! My dad's friends that were with him could not believe that she had never had any formal hunting training. They said that they had never seen such a great bird dog, especially one that is so young. She just turned one year old in August. He was so excited about her after the first day that he had to call home to brag! "Cleo" (Ace x Cotti) |

Major has been moving along quite well. We are working on multiple blinds right now. He is progressing really well with hand signals and whistle commands. Plus, every time we go hunting he gets more and more adapted to the situation. I am quite pleased with his progression. "Major" (Bandit x Raven) |

As our trainer said....."she's very focused and very intense when she has a job to do". The real fun is that even we neophytes have been able to teach her a lot, and she, in turn, has taught us how much she understands our directions, and how much she wants to please us. Just wanted to drop an email and let you know that Major is a wonderful dog. We love him dearly and he is fitting into the family like a champ. We couldn't have asked for a better dog. He has met all of our expectations and then some. We have several friends that can't believe how good of a dog he is and wish that he was there's. So thank you very much for our new addition. She is an amazing dog...period. What a joy to have around the house and so very easy to train. She is so smart that if she could talk she would have a Ph D. I swear she understands everything I say. She weighed 58 lbs the other day and has maxed out. She has long legs and could be a dog model. She is a little confused about hunting season being over, she thinks we are going every morning when I go outside to put them in the run. We had a great end to duck season. I would say that a conservative estimate would be that she retrieved around 1000 birds this year, doves, ducks and geese.

Harley is doing great! He just graduated from Puppy Kindergarten at Blue Springs 'n Katydid with a first place and second place ribbon! He is such a great dog, so smart and just beautiful! "Harley" (Drake x Arwen) |

Forest has turned out to be what I have imagined my lab would be. He is 57 pounds, thick coat, broad head, and very trainable. I have been working on obedience with him and will start formalizing routines for a CD.

I wanted to give you a quick update on Shadow, I took her pheasant hunting in Kansas last
weekend. This was her first "real" hunt, I had taken her to Kiowa Creek and worked her on planted birds;
Chucker and Quail a couple of times before this hunt. This was a totally different experience for her as there were 23 people and 3 other dogs hunting together, so the chaos at times was
confusing for her and me. After a slow start, she caught on and ended up retrieving 7 roosters on the day. I got numerous compliments on her and was very proud of her.

Ruby's doing great, growing and behaving pretty well for a little imp. She loves to have something in her mouth or carry around. No complaints here. We like her. "Ruby" (Ace x Cotti) |

Echo is has retrieved around 300+ birds now, she retrieved 22 yesterday, Belle got 2. Echo figured out the program and watches the gun barrel. She sits to my left and sometimes sees the birds before I do, specially if they are coming in from behind me. She is marking great and charges hard on all retrieves. She has a great mouth and just loves the birds now. My friends cannot believe how much she is improving every week. We have hunted at least once every weekend since Sept. 1 and sometimes 4-5 times during a Fri-Sun.

She is a nice looking girl, we are pleased. She is also very curious, at this point more interested in exploring her surroundings than eating.
