Labrador Retrievers

Listed below are some of the Labrador Retrievers at Justamere Ranch. As you can see, Labs are like potato chips - you can't have just one! Please let me know if you would like more information on any of my dogs.

Working Labs With Classic Looks

MY BOYS

Chip
1998 chocolate (Cy) male

Pedigree

More Information

Chip has very high drives and loves to be doing something. He is explosive off the line and has lots of drive. He also has an exceptional nose whether following a human track that is several hours old or hunting up a winged flyer.
Chip is a wonderful companion who loves to help around the house. When it's time to work in the garden, he'll even carry the rake or shovel.

Tory
2003 black (Byc) male

Pedigree

More Information

Tory is an amazing dog. He's a big dog and powerful swimmer. Ever do a cannonball as a kid? Tory's water entry could empty most suburban swimming pools!
To earn his second Junior Hunter pass he had to swim the St Vrain, and he had never seen moving water before as we'd only trained in ponds. Blam! He was over and back with his duck in the time it took some dogs to figure out how to get down the bank.

Jackson
1996 chocolate male
April 27, 1996 - January 18, 1999

More Information

Jackson, I miss you every day - your sweet personality, your joie de vivre, your warmth beside me at night. I look forward to the day when we will meet again at the rainbow bridge.

MY GIRLS

Arwen
2003 black (Bc) female

Pedigree

More Information

Arwen is a deceiver! She looks like a little dog until you try to heft her 60-pound body. She's solid built! She's also very calm and mild-mannered in the house, but take her out retrieving and she's a dynamo.
Also don't turn your back on her in the house or she'll be snuggled into your pillow before you can blink!

Cotti
2004 black (Bc) female

Pedigree

More Information

Cotti is an eager working dog. She earned her Junior Hunter title in four straight passes in only NINE days! She also earned her Rally Novice and Advanced titles in three straight passes each.
She is a daughter of AFC-CFC-CAFC Chugach Hills Jazz's Rascal and a granddaughter of FC-AFC River Oak's Way-Da-Go Rocky.

Cat
2005 black female

Pedigree

More Information

Cat is a little beauty! She has the classic broad head without it being overdone. The rest of her is really well put together too.
But can she retrieve? Boy, howdy, can she ever! By 3 months of age she was retrieving birds and bumpers further than I could throw.
She's just starting her working career!

Lily
2006 black (Bc) female

Pedigree

More Information

Lily inherited the best of her bloodlines. She is the daughter of a good looking field-bred mother and a good working show-bred father. Eye contact, retrieving desire, willingness to please - all wrapped up in a gorgeous body - watch for her to excel in many venues!

Meg
2006 chocolate female

Pedigree

More Information

Meg is a grinner! Ask her to smile and she'll show you every one of her pearly whites. Throw a bumper for her and she'll retrieve for you all day.
She's just starting to compete with the rest of the Justamere gang!

Spyder
2006 black (Bc) female

Pedigree

More Information

As our youngest athlete, Spyder is learning from the rest of the gang. Already awesome in the field, she comes by her talent naturally - she's linebred on one of our favorite dogs, Way-Da-Go Rocky!

THANKS!!

I want to say thank you to some special people who have helped me so much in my canine endeavors.

A very special thank you to Deb Carrington for all of her help as we delve deeper into health and spiritual aspects. I have learned so much from her and pray that she continues to put up with my endless questions.

Thank you to Linda Ciancio for helping me learn how to recognize correct structure and Lab type even though we hold different pictures of the ideal Lab in our mind's eye.

Thank you to Jeff Jordan for teaching me how to be a better field trainer and handler. He has been so patient with my mistakes and questions, even when I ask the same question over and over.

Thank you to my family for supporting me - and putting up with my numerous dogs.

Thank you to all my friends who have ever thrown a bird or bumper for me or encouraged me during competition or listened to me as I obsess.

Thank you to everyone who has bought a dog from me or from whom I've bought a dog or who allowed me to breed to their special dog.

And, even though they are not people in the strictest sense of the word, thank you to all my dogs, past, present and future, for their companionship, their patience, their love and even the dog hair that covers everything and that cold nose first thing in the morning.
